Robert Silke & Partners is an award-winning firm of architects & interior designers specialising in the commercial, hospitality and residential sector.

With real expertise in large-scale retail, hotels, offices and residential projects, the firm’s blue-chip clients include Signatura, The V&A Waterfront Company, HCI, Total SA, Atterbury, Buffet, Beare Holdings, Tsogo Sun and Best Western Hotels. Based in Cape Town, the practice presently works in Cape Town, Johannesburg, Durban and as far afield as Zambia and Eswatini.

The firm was established in 2015 as a partnership between Robert Silke and Robert McGiven, young architects who combine no less than 40 years collective experience designing and managing some of South Africa’s major architectural projects.

The practice has both the creative edge and the technical backbone to see complex projects through to successful completion.

Robert Silke is one of South Africa’s most prolific young architects, having recently led his firm to design some of Cape Town’s most iconic new developments – including Tuynhuys apartments, The Onyx apartment hotel, and Citadel Investments’ striking new granite head office.

Prior to establishing the firm, Silke designed Chevron’s award-winning national headquarters at Century City, as well as the futuristic Point shopping centre in Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard. Silke is well known for his residential conversion of Old Mutual’s former Art Deco Headquarters in the Cape Town CBD.
